
ArtistLed, the independent record label founded by David Finckel and Wu Han, is proud to announce the release of its twelfth album, For David and Wu Han. The recording features four contemporary works for cello and piano by composers Bruce Adolphe, Lera Auerbach, Pierre Jalbert and George Tsontakis. The works were all commissioned for and premiered by Finckel and Wu Han.

The Russian-American composer Lera Auerbach has made a short adaptation of her 2005 work “Dialogues with Stabat Mater.” Bearing the title “Sogno di Stabat Mater,” it will receive its world premiere on 18 September 2009 in Braunschweig. The work for violin, viola, vibraphone and string orchestra (based on Pergolesi) was commissioned by Gidon Kremer for a CD production for Nonesuch Records.
